Lenfest Kids
The 2023–2024 season of Lenfest Kids presented numerous adventures with films of many genres and dove into the world of musical storytelling in film.
In the fall, family favorites like The Greatest Showman and The Nightmare Before Christmas screened alongside cult classic The Princess Bride and a 21st Century “Beauty and the Beast” adaption, Belle. Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr. Fox and The BFG rounded out the first half of the season.
In the spring, we discovered the sounds of Motown in The Wiz, the improvisations of jazz in Blue Giant, and the timeless anthems of The Beatles in A Hard Day’s Night. We also explored the compositions of Leonard Bernstein in West Side Story, and the vibrant culture of Mexican popular music in Coco.
